How Should You Wear Your Hair?
Looking for a new hairstyle for fall? Then these 7 picks will keep you in the know. Here are some of the freshest looks for fall!
1) Rock a Pony Tail
The pony tail is evolving! Try a side pony with a few loose pieces framing the face. Create texture in the hair by using a texturizing spray. Creating a high crown makes a ponytail look fancier. Tease the crown and work in a lighter working hair spray. Then smooth hair back and secure with a hair pin. Take a large barrel curling iron to give the end of the pony a little flip. My pick for best hair band is an Invisibobble!
2) Textured Bangs
Not everyone believes that bangs work on anyone's hair, but that's not true. Don't believe the rumors. Bangs work for every texture, even curly hair. Baby bangs are once again popular but with a choppy texture. Bangs have a way to freshen up any look. From wispy to fringy the appeal is almost timeless.
3) Long and Wavy
The new waves are not mermaid waves. They are long, casual and looser than what you might remember from old Hollywood. They are more stretched out and have a carefree look. Hair that flows and simply styled is a big trend this season.
4) Vintage Buns
The double bun which was inspired by the 1940's
hair fashions is all the rage. Just part your hair down the center and do two top twists on either side. Another way to pull off a bun is to pull your hair in a ponytail, then separate in two halves twist each one and one at a time wrap around the base on the pony tail. Pin each one in place. Don't worry if some pieces fall out it makes it look softer and it is also less complicated for you to do. For a guide to which bobby pins are best for which uses go to: stylecaster.com/beauty/bobby-pins-how-to
Braids are all over the fashion runways. Apparently there are no rules. Corn Rows with teased puffs on the ends showing contrast from the sleek braids. Curly hair with cornrows in the front and let the back of the hair remain curly. Braids once done can then be loosened out to create a billowing effect making it more romantic. Check out Instagram for more ideas on wearable braid styles.
6) Pretty Up dos
The effortless looks of the modern up do are softer and more casual. Incorporating twisting and braiding then literally pulling them softly apart gives it a more
romantic feel. Keep things loose and falling freely when putting up your hair for that on trend look.
7) Flat Waves
These are waves created with a flat iron. Waves that are created with a flat iron are more subtle. Take a flat iron start the bend in the shaft of the hair leaving out the ends to leave a straight end for a more softer finish. My go to for a flat iron is:

So switch it up and give these hair styling options a try! You can get a new look without chopping off you locks and the good thing is all of these ideas work on almost everyone!
Beauty & Wellness...Time Well Spent!
Beauty is not just looking great, it’s about feeling that way also. You see looking beautiful is about what everyone else notices about you. But feeling beautiful is how you feel about yourself. I always grew up hearing "Pretty is as Pretty Does". So you might look pretty on the outside but inside you are not really what you appear.
Beauty and wellness services have a way of connecting you to yourself. So treating yourself to some pampering is a great thing! By enhancing your own beauty it will elevate your self esteem. Making sure to take time for beauty and wellness services is a way to not only appreciate, but to also lift up and reward yourself.
Everyone deserves to be appreciated and admired. When people improve their appearance something wonderful happens. People pay more attention to you. People listen to you and even ask more of your opinion when you are put together. I believe this is due to an increase in confidence! One that you evoke and that they also pick up from you.
When someone sits in my chair and tells me that what I have achieved is beautiful, I always make sure that they also recognize that they also feel better! Part of what I provide is beauty care. The other part is self confidence and appreciation of ones self. So giving the visual change is important, building confidence and self assurance is really the reward.
One easy way to look and feel better is sleep. Or what some people call "Beauty Sleep". A good quality of sleep and quantity makes you refreshed and you wake up with more energy. Looking tired on the outside may change how people perceive you. It is good for your health in general and is good for the health of your skin. A lot of people spend thousands of dollars on Botox or fillers for wrinkles and fine lines. But getting a good nights sleep is totally free!
Taking care of your body and image starts from the inside out. What one puts in one gets out. There is no shame for wanting to feel pretty and confident, you just need to know what makes you feel better about yourself and do it. Many people base their beauty on what they see on television, websites and in fashion magazines, never realizing that those looks are often unattainable. Trying to imitate someone else does not help you to connect with yourself. So be your personal best and avoid trying to fit in someone else's mold. You are uniquely Beautiful!
For the first time Pantone introduces two shades, Rose Quartz and Serenity as the PANTONE Color of the Year 2016. Pantone describes Rose Quartz as a "persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Serenity is weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, bringing feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times".
This is a softer take on color compared to 2015 color of the year Marsala that I reported on last year, which was a rich, earthy red. Together, the colors "demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace," according to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
The blending of these two shades together create a calm and relaxing sense that is appealing to all types of finishes, matte, metallic, and glossy on soft or hard surface material.
When I viewed the shades they are definitely softer and exude a sense of calm and relaxation, which is something we all long for!
As it happens every year, expect to see Beauty Industry companies like Lancôme, Sephora, and CND Nail Polish to undoubtedly release products that will include these tones.
Visions come to my mind of pink and blue eye shadow blended in a more subtle way, and lipstick mimicking baby doll pink, along with soft blending of the two shades for a fresh look in nail polish. Add in silver for more splash and sparkle!
We already see the trend of perfect pastel shades in hair coloring. Creating these colors can be tricky to achieve being that you need to bleach your hair to pale blonde to be able to apply a toner over the hair to achieve the soft kiss of color. These are also the hardest hair colors to not only achieve but to maintain.
So let me explain. When you "dye" or tint hair you can only add color. If your hair is dark and you apply a pink or baby blue tone it's not going to do much. So to get a nice pastel shade your hair needs to be light as the color you are trying to achieve. When lightening the hair with bleach you may also get a lot of yellow tones depending on your natural level which will affect the final color. So if you do not lighten the natural hair color to the correct level you will end up with a distorted shade because the yellow that might remain will interact with the tone you are trying to achieve. Best to leave this type of coloring to a professional!
Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said in a release. “This more unilateral approach to color is coinciding with societal movements toward gender equality and fluidity, the consumers’ increased comfort with using color as a form of expression which includes a generation that has less concern about being typecast or judged, and an open exchange of digital information that has opened our eyes to different approaches to color usage.”

"Olaplex" What is it and why do you need it?
Over a year ago at a trade show I learned about a new product called "Olaplex". It claimed that using it during and after chemical services would make hair strands stronger than they were before. So once I did some more research I ordered my Olaplex starter kit and began selectively incorporating this new additive into some of my clients color systems. I can honestly sat that this is the most revolutionary product I've seen in a long time, and I have seen a lot of things come and go in the beauty industry.
Basically, when you put chemicals on the hair anything from bleaching, coloring with peroxide developers, or relaxers the sulfur bonds split on the outside of the hair strand. There is no way around it. Using bleach to lift hair color will weaken hair bonds, leading to drier texture. The chemical process can eat away at the hair proteins, which causes damage. Olaplex helps to reconnect the broken disulfide sulfur bonds for a healthier result and without compromising the integrity of hair.
Olaplex is a 3 step system with all three steps containing the same patented active ingredient. It was founded by Dean Christal and created by two of the world’s leading PhD's in Materials and Chemistry, Dr. Craig Hawker and Dr. Eric Pressly. They invented a single ingredient chemistry, free of silicone or oils that links broken disulfide bonds in the hair during and after chemical services making them stronger than they were before.
A great introduction to Olaplex is a Bond strengthening professional salon service. Unlike a deep conditioner this is done prior to a shampoo and takes about 15 minutes prior to shampooing and conditioning depending on the damage you are trying to repair. This typically runs between $15 and $25.
I always approach a new color client with "We need to look at the canvas we are working on to determine where we are going next" So in other words how much damage is there and what can I do to prevent further damage and keep the integrity of the hair intact. I look at each client’s hair like a canvas that I am painting and often you need to correct the canvas prior to adding more colors. This is where Olaplex can be used as a pre treatment to strengthen hair prior to having another color service!
As a colorist you can use Olaplex as a tool and a new service. As a tool, use the Olaplex Bond Multiplier No.1 adding it to lightener or color, and I have also added it to relaxers, and finish by applying Bond Perfector No.2 after color or chemical is rinsed from the hair to dramatically reduce breakage.
To get the best results "take home care" is suggested. That is the Olaplex Hair Perfector No.3 you use it once a week to strengthen hair further using it in between chemical services.
Many salons are going to be "up charging" for this type of addition to a clients color service, but we are not going that route at Doyle Designed Salon, we will be adding the complex into many of our color processes that can benefit from this wonderful discovery just because we feel our clients deserve it!

Starting off the New Year is a great time to commit to taking care of yourself. So why not start with your image?
Whatever job position you have, you are someone in the public eye. Once you are representing a company or interacting with customers, clients or your followers in any way, you'd better believe you're a brand.
Taking a few extra minutes each day will enhance your appearance and will also make you feel more confident. People will take you seriously if your look is polished and pulled together.
Stay fresh. First and most important is to be conscious of your hygiene when looking to make a first impression. All of these not only destroy self-confidence, but also cause people to judge you: bad breath, yellow teeth, untidy hair or clothes, body odor, overly strong perfume.
Hydrate. Keep up with hydration by drinking plenty of water. It will enhance the look and feel of your skin. It also curbs your appetite, and will lighten dark circles under your eyes. Water helps flush out the toxins from your system and will reduce the amount of salt concentration in and around the eye area that causes puffiness.
Dress for the situation. You don’t always have to look the best in the room, but make sure you look suitable for the situation. At work, observe people whose careers you’d like to aspire to. Take a cue from them on how to dress. Dress for the job you want, not the job you have.
Having a polished appearance—clean and well-fitted clothing, styled hair, manicured nails—is an important component when representingyourself and your company, as demonstrated by Michelle Moreno of Crown Point.
Check your wardrobe for "damage control." Do you have items where the buttons are loose, threads are hanging off of them, or there are holes in them? If so, get them fixed or don’t wear them. It's the detail in your outfits that defines you as a professional.
Stock your wardrobe. Find well-made pieces of clothing and accessorize them with more stylish accents based on your own personal style. Looking good not only builds confidence, it can assure other people's perception that you can "do the job." So consider your overall look as an investment in your future.
Make time for yourself. Schedule into your week some type of fun activity. Learn to say "no" and feel okay with it. Try not to apologize for things that don't need an apology, like taking care of yourself.
Splurge. Every once in a while, spend on yourself! Buy something you want but don't necessarily need: a new lipstick or a pair of earrings. A new outlook on life doesn't have to be expensive.
Ask around. Take a little insight and ask your friends, family and those who personally care about you what they think your look says about you. The real trick is taking their feedback and making changes without your feelings being hurt. So don't ask if you don't want to know.
Judge not. Always remember to not look at anyone and judge them completely on the first impression. They may have more gifts than you can see at first glance, and you might have missed something unique and special!

Winter is upon us which means grueling weather that can increase damage to your hair. During the holidays you are probably seen by many friends, family and colleagues. Make sure your hair stays healthy and rich looking with these helpful hints and regimens to combat against seasonal dry and brittle hair.
1) Get a trim to start the season on a good note. By removing the split ends prior to the frigid weather you will help to prevent increased damage.
2) A deep conditioning treatment is in your best interest to avoid a dry and damaged look. Call and book a conditioning treatment prior to your next haircut service. Arriving a half hour early for this type of treatment will allow time to condition, strengthen and hydrate your hair. The warmth of the dryer will open up the cuticle and the cool down time will allow the cuticle to close so you soak up all of the moisture.
For a DIY (do it yourself) apply a deep conditioner then place a plastic cap over it and let your body temperature heat up the conditioner for about 20 minutes then rinse with cool water. Feeling natural? Take 2 ounces of olive oil and warm in the microwave for one minute let cool then apply and follow the directions above. Make sure to wash your hair after an olive oil treatment to remove the excess oil. The only flakes you want to see in winter is snowflakes!
3) Washing your hair during the winter months too frequently will lead to more damaged looking hair. Alternate not washing your hair every time, but condition the ends each time. Using Sulfate Free shampoo will help to not strip out your hair color but also will be more moisturizing to your scalp than shampoo that contains sulfates.
4) Always try to avoid leaving the house with wet hair. With the cold weather, air drying is not a good option. Since you find yourself grabbing the blow dryer more often, you must blow out your hair properly to avoid dry dull winter hair and overusing additional styling tools. Gently pat you hair dry with a towel after showering, removing any excess water. Detangle your locks by gently combing starting from the ends and work your way up to the roots with a wide-tooth comb. Blow dry on a medium heat setting so you are not burning your hair.
5) Static in the hair can be helped with the right product. Thoroughly dry your hair to avoid damage when wearing a winter hat. If you are wearing coats that have wool collars be sure to have a silk scarf or cotton scarf over the collar so you do not create friction, it will diminish the rubbing on your hairline which can result in damaged hair. Applying Doyle Designed "Shine Repair" will help to smooth out fly away hair and add shine to dry hair.
Going forward I wish you a Happy Holiday and Joyful New Year! Best wishes from your friends at Doyle Designed Salon.
November is a great time for pampering yourself! Holiday scuttle hasn't started yet, and the changing day light hours make you want to relax at home. This is a great time to spend a little extra time to care for your skin and hair.
Lets start with you feet! Fall does not mean you need to put your pretty feet away. Remember those peep toe pumps you love, they deserve to have a great fall tone showing thru, so keep up the polishing for the fall just change up the color! They are currently showing boots for fall with a peep toe so even if you are not getting a full pedicure make sure to change the polish color. So don't hide you toes just yet!
Now for your hands. Cold and wet weather adds to dryness of your hands. So they need special attention. Look for ingredients like Panthenol, Vitamin E, Glycerin which holds in precious moisture, and Allantoin is an anti irritant. All of these ingredients will soften the roughest of hands. Doyle Designed "Intensive Hand Treatment" has
all of these ingredients! Other active ingredients to look for in lotions are grape seed oil, jojoba oil, shea butter, and chamomile will make your hands soft and silky.
Hair care tips for fall although are typically much simpler than summer hair care, but there are some things to do during this season. You need to make sure that your summer hair is shiny, soft and rehydrated. Natural hair in typically lighter in the summer and darker
in the fall and winter. Carmel and golden hues look great if you are a blonde and will give your complexion a warm glow. If you are a brunette add in natural looking lowlights or some with a warmer tone.
A Hair Clarifying Treatment is a great way to eliminate the build up from chlorine, well water and other things that are coating your hair. Fall is a great time to get rid the build up and start with clean shiny hair. Get your hair professionally clarified with an in salon treatment followed up with a deep conditioning to strengthen and moisturize hair. A deep conditioning session is best done after a clarifying treatment to restore softness and restore strength but wont feel weighed down because of the clarifying treatment.
So now that you have cleaned off the hair and moisturized it you need to get a trim. You do not want to start out the season with split ends. Take time to at least get a little trim, or what I call "Caress your ends".
This type of cut will give you a fresh cut look without loosing any major length.
Conditioning your hair definitely needs to be in your fall and winter regimen. Think of all the things that create static like sweaters and turtlenecks. To avoid that do an occasional moisturizing treatment.
Also consider using a sulfate free moisturizing shampoo/conditioner
to avoids stripping out the natural oils in your hair.
With Thanksgiving coming up try to surround yourself with traditional holiday themes of fall colors, fragrances of pumpkin, clove and cinnamon. There’s something comforting about the warm scents of fall
so enjoy them all during this season!
One of the hottest hair trends of the moment is "Balayage". Inspired Living - Click here
Balayage refers to the process of "sweeping" color onto hair using a paddle. Balayage gives the colorist more freedom to place color where they choose, unlike foils which can be much more precise but leaves a visible outgrowth.
Doyle Sims of Doyle Designed Salon in Flossmoor IL believes that Balayage is not just for blondes. It is great for first time coloring, and for blending gray strands so you do not have to color the entire head. It is also great on brunettes and redheads.
Doyle believes being more artistic with hair coloring allows him to take a color and create two or three shades rather than just one shade. It is a softer color result because you sweep the color onto the hair. So rather than taking a section of hair and putting it into a square foil, on a round head we can take select pieces of hair from the head. It can be a few strands or a much more dramatic change.
So why choose Balayage over traditional foil highlights?
It is great on first time clients for natural subtle highlights on any shade. Short hair will be given a more natural look with no stripes. People that feel that they are too blonde can low light or darken some pieces with Balayage techniques.
Balayage is more tedious that foiling, but the artistry of coloring is well represented with a Balayage Color Service. Pricing varies because the typical half head, full head foil structure does not apply. Also the color of your hair prior to Balayage may need to be corrected. You may need to build up the base color then go in with Balayage.
Either way Hair Color is evolving and it is more refined than it used to be!
DOYLE DESIGNED SALON COLOR UPGRADE!
Doyle Sims, owner of Doyle Designed Salon and Education Center in Flossmoor, Illinois, is taking all the steps to make hair color gentler by incorporating a new system called Olaplex into their color systems. Basically, when you put chemicals in the hair — from coloring, or peroxide developers, or straightening treatments — the sulfur bonds split, and they then become sulfur hydrogen.
This process can eat away at the hair proteins, which causes damage. Olaplex prevents the splitting from happening. In short, it links broken bonds in the hair caused by chemical processes...preventing them from damage.
Many Salons are going to be "up charging" for this type of addition to a clients color service, but Doyle as usual is not going that route and will be adding the complex into many of their color processes just because he feels their clients deserve it!
Call Doyle Designed at 708-799-5758 for your next Hair color Service!
I have to share this testimonial on Doyle Designed Hair Care!
First off - as I have stated before - I LOVE your products and I have clients interested in them as well. So we will need to talk about how I go about placing orders and ect. Also, do have back bar sized options for your shampoos and conditioners?
Below is my feedback on your products:
Hair paste has a firm hold, yet is pliable enough to move and re-shape as the day goes on. It is very difficult to find a hair paste that exhibits these qualities - most are too heavy, too oily, or too light of hold for what most clients are looking for.
Smooth & strong spray- light and fresh scent, is a great spray for all hair types. Ive noticed it is a nice de-tangler and is a great addition for any client to have in their choice of daily products.... same goes for the healthy hair complex and detangler, both are well liked and have left the hair with more shine than before.
Blow foam root booster - great volume response. Doesn't leave the hair sticky or stiff like most products in this category do. I liked to spray right at the root, as well as in my hands and run it though their hair to give that extra fullness through the mid-strand and ends.
Thermal Protector - Another impressive product, I typically stay away from these sprays because they have left the hair stiff and/or sticky. This is not the case with your thermal protector, and the scent is really nice.
Shine repair laminating gel - One of my very favorites. I can run this through any hair type at the end of my styling service and it leaves the hair soft, shiny, and smooth whether I have just blow dried, or flat ironed, or polish with a few waves or curls. I use it on EVERYONE. Beautiful results on everyone.
Elixir - adds shine and strength.
Smoothing gel - Ive used it on a clients ranging from weak to strong curl patterns. The weak curl patterned clients typically prefer their hair blown out straight and the smoothing gel made the blow out a lot easier and in return added so much shine to the hair. When I used on a strong curl patterned client, it added a smooth and silky finish without weighing the hair down and didn't leave the hair "crunchy" BIG bonus for curly clients.
Volume and Hold gel - I have never used gel as a styling product for my women, I had given gel a bad rap for being heavy and leaving the hair sticky. I only used gel on my male clients. I decided to test out your gel on my lady clients, and I was amazed how everything I experienced in the past didn't happen with your gel. It added just the right amount of volume.
Hairspray - LMH options are really cool - something that is a really neat perk to your hair spray. It isn't necessarily my "Go To" for hairspray tho have been overall happy with the results.
Instant conditioner - says it all in its name - its "instant" with results. It leaves the hair smooth and tangle free.
Moisture Shampoo - Has a rich lather and extreme clean feel to it, yet hydrating the hair all at the same time.
Re-hydrating Conditioner and Shampoo- a very nice pair that compliment each other. The perfect go to for most clients.

Straight hair is making a comeback this season. The only way to pull it off is if it looks healthy. That means it has high shine and the ends are freshly trimmed.
If you are using a flat iron make sure to use a thermal protectant spray prior to ironing each hair section. Make it straight then create a runway fashion ponytail, super smooth and secured low at the nape of the neck, then finish with a spray of high gloss hairspray for a chic look. If you've got a long face shape try a side ponytail. Hide the hair band by taking a small amount of hair from the ponytail and then wrap around the rubber band itself. Pin to secure.
Finish your super-straight style with a mist of Doyle Designed Hair Care "Final Shine". $14.
Prior to thermal styling hair use a heat protection spray like Doyle Designed Hair Care Thermal Protectant. $12.
This is the time to take a break from full coverage makeup and step into a more relaxed routine of lightweight formulas and sheer finishes with protection from the summer sun.
This month we are featuring a mineral nude crème foundations that has an SPF of 30. Minerals provide a natural, chemical-free sun block, shielding skin against damaging ultra-violet light. Their powerful, light-reflective properties make flaws and imperfections practically invisible.

Bobs come in all shapes and sizes, from slick and smooth to choppy and textured. Add a cropped fringe to add a trendy look to your bob. The chin length bob is definitely popular this season. What you need to know...
Use a Thermal Protectant
A lot of people do not use a thermal protectant. These are crucial to not only protect against heat damage but to enable the iron to slide thru easily.
Use thermal protectant also prior to blow drying.
Tip: On dry hair spray each section from scalp to ends prior to using a curling iron or flat iron.
Some irons only have a high/low setting. Find an iron or flat iron that has a dial.
Tip: Start off on the low to medium setting then work your way up, but never over 350 degrees.
Unless your hair is thick and curly you do not need to be above that temperature.
Do not iron the hair more than once if at all possible. Slide the iron slowly in a single movement.
If you do repeat ironing on every section you will cause a lot of damage.
Tip: Do not stop and go while you are flat ironing. This creates horizontal lines that take away from the smooth look.
The Bigger the Better?
Large irons are bulky and often weigh more so there is increased rick of burning yourself.
Larger flat irons work best on long thick hair.
Tip: If you need to get those little curls around the hairline then use a 1 inch wide straightener.
Keep it Clean!
A build up of product residue on your iron will not allow it to slide thru the hair.
Tip: When the flat iron is cool take a soft grade of steel wool to remove any build up.
You can also use a little glass cleaner on a damp cloth to remove build up!
Looking for a thermal protectant?
Try Doyle Designed Thermal Protectant.
Are you washing your hair too much?
Winter = Shampoo as little as possible.
The winter cold temperature lacks moisture in the air making your hair and scalp sensitive and dehydrated which can add to the chance of breakage. Here are two "prescriptions" to maintain natural moisture and oil by adding a regimen of *dry shampoo and *co-washing.
* Dry shampoo : Refreshes hair in between traditional washing. It also extends your hair style for a couple of days, up to three or four. Doyle Designed "DRY CLEAN" is a product that is a dry powder that helps to make hair fuller and revives body to your hair.
Tip:You should shake the can prior to application. Spray at the roots and at the hairline then massage through the hair with your fingertips.
* Co- washing: This is cleansing your hair with a rinse-out conditioner and skip the shampoo. Apply conditioner as though you it was a shampoo. It's the act of massaging your scalp that cleans it without stripping the natural oils.
Tip: After a co-wash you can apply conditioner to ends as normal then rinse.
If you want to try Doyle Designed "DRY CLEAN" mention this blog to receive $2.00 off your purchase!
The wintry cold air lacks moisture making your hair and scalp more sensitive, prone to dry out and can lead to breakage.
Shampoo as little as possible. Washing your hair during the winter months too frequently will lead to more damage. Alternate washing your hair every other day but condition each time. Cleansing your hair with a rinse-out conditioner and skipping shampoo.
The trick is applying the conditioner as though you expect it to suds up; it's the act of massaging your scalp that cleans it without stripping the natural oils. If you are shampooing every day Doyle Designed "Rehydrating Shampoo" is designed to moisturize your hair and scalp, and is sulfate free so it is gentle on color treated hair. This will ensure healthy and shiny hair.
The new addition of Doyle Designed "Rehydrating Conditioner" will restore moisture and help to smooth the strands of your hair and will aid in combating winter static electricity. Rinse hair with a lukewarm water temperature not with hot water. Rinsing you hair with cooler water at the end will help to lock in the moisture from your conditioner.
With increased blow drying in the winter make sure to use Doyle Designed "Thermal Protectant" . Spray into hair after towel drying to help protect your hair from the damaging effect of heat styling. Static in the hair can be helped with the right product. Applying a small amount of Doyle Designed "Shine Repair" will help to smooth fly away hair and add shine to dry hair.
When in doubt come in for a deep conditioning treatment and take good care of your hair!
My best to all of you....Doyle
