Meet Doyle Sims
As a child my memories of beauty were inspired by
my mother. She always said “when my hair doesn’t look good, I don’t feel
good”. I began my beauty industry career when I was 21. Having always been
artistic, I was drawn to the many facets of the beauty industry that would
empower me to be an artist. My approach has always been to service clients
with a simple policy of tell don’t sell. In other word if I had the
knowledge, and continued to update my awareness, and theirs, I would be able
to honestly guide my clients in the right direction. I have continued to
commit myself to enhancing the positive visual change of my clients. I have
also been able to make a great living while managing a career that has taken
me to new heights, always looking forward to the next experience…Committing
to the Evolution of Change.
Locks of Love
WHAT IS LOCKS OF LOVE?
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need.
